Why doesn't USA want to be like Sweden or Norway politically?

Norway has huge amounts of oil and very small population and can afford it's social program. Sweden also has a small population. There culture is also differentm so what works there doesn't work here, YOu can't recreate what both country has with what we have. Of course Liberals misrepresent what these countries are like. I got into an arguement with a liberal, because I wanted to mimick some of Sweden;s policy. He went after me, but had to relent that Sweden in some wats is one of the most conservative country in Europe. It's hostile to immigration, both legal and illegal. I like their gun laws better and it's very anti drugs.
