Could you recommend me a book to learn Spanish?

Hi. I'm a 16-year old American who speaks English & Swedish. I would really like to learn Spanish (preferably Latin American Spanish). I'm looking for a book (not software) that will help me REALLY learn the language. I get tired of buying books just to find that they are the same rehashed "Me llamo..", "Buenos dias!", "Hola", "Hasta luego" phrasebooks. Reading about grammar does not bore me. I'm genuinely interested in learning how sentences work, about different tenses and how to use them, ect. What is a good book that will build me from the ground up?
