Marcia Cross and Brenda Strong in Ireland?

Can anyone tell me why some of the Desperate Housewives cast are in Ireland? I think they're staying around where I live, many people I know have run into them and gotten a picture taken with them, but I don't know why they're here? Or is it just for a visit? Thanks :)
